London feiert…
… na ja, ein Teil von London… aber der Reihe nach.
Gestern wollte [besser: musste] ich bei dem guten Wetter – es hat zumindest nicht geregnet und der Himmel war ab und zu blau – leider lernen und zu Hause bleiben. Das ging auch bis mittags gut, da ab dann der Verkehrslaerm der Edgware Road etwas zu laut wurde. Nicht durch den [wie immer] stehenden Verkehr, sondern eher durch staendiges Gehupe. Eine Hochzeit? Nein, das waere eine wahrlich grosse Hochzeitsgesellschaft. Fussball? Am Anfang der Saison gibts eher selten was zu feiern. Ein Unfall? Sirenen waren nicht zu hoeren – zumindest nicht mehr als sonst auch. Um meine Neugier zu befriedigen musste ich dann wohl oder uebel doch vor die Tuere und die 100 Meter zur Hauptstrasse gehen… Dort stand der Verkehr. Nein, nicht zaehfluessig wie sonst, sondern es stand alles still. Still war es jedoch nicht, da jedes Auto kraeftigen Gebrauch von seinem akustischen Signalgeber machte. Zwischen den Autos liefen Personen mit Fahnen ausgelassen herum. Als ich dann einen mit einer Fahne verhuellten Fan fragte, was denn gerade passiert sei, bekam ich nur die freudetrunkene Antwort “We’ve won the Asia Cup!!!!!!!!!!”. Ah, danke. Herzlichen Glueckwunsch. Wer denn? “Iraq”. Nochmals ein freundliches “Congratulations!!” und der Herr verschwand in und mit seiner Fahne wieder zum Auto. Irak hatte in der Tat Saudi Arabien mit 1:0 geschlagen und ist damit Gewinner des Asien Cups. Ich goenne es den Irakern! Glueckwunsch von meiner Seite.
Fotos folgen sobald ich es geschafft habe, diese von meinem Mobiltelefon auf meinen Rechner zu uebertragen – im Moment bin ich Opfer der Hochtechnologie und wuensche mir einen C64 zurueck…
