Eines morgens in der Tube…
Die Tube ist morgens um kurz nach 6 meist recht leer… eigentlich trifft man nur auf ein paar Pendler aber heute wars irgendwie anders: Schon als ich an der Station Edgware Road (Hammersmith & City-, District- und Circle Line) ankam hat mich der Anblick von 2 schwer bepackten Mittzwanzigern etwas irritiert – oder eher die Tatsache, dass beide bis zur Huefte mit getrocknetem Schlamm beschmutzt waren. Hm… komisch… dachte ich – und ging weiter. Der Fall war fast abgehakt, als ich aber dann hinter den Ticketbarrieren auf zwei weitere ebenso schlammige Mittzwanziger mit Zelten und Rucksaecken stiess, liess mich die Sache nicht mehr los. Schlamm heisst ja eigenlich Natur und das passt natuerlich nicht direkt in die Londoner Innenstadt – da kann man eher in Menschen baden als in Schlamm. Beim Einsteigen in die Tube mit vielen weiteren schwer bepackten, Gummistiefel tragenden und schlammbedeckten Personen kam mir dann der Geistesblitz: Glastonbury! Glastonbury ist die Britische Antwort auf Rock am Ring – nur eben im Sommer und das Wetter ist noch schlechter als das Deutsche Festival, was immer an Pfingsten und damit zu einer normalerweise unguenstigeren Zeit [was das Wetter angeht] stattfindet. Wie es bei Glastonbury zugeht sieht man hier, hier und hier (wuerde gerne wissen, ob das Angebot genutzt wurde…). Traditionell regnet es bei dem Festival viel und das gesamte Gelaende verwandelt sich in eine Schlammgrube – was ich angesichts der Personen die ich morgens gesehen habe auch uneingeschraenkt glaube.
